Set on a lush farm, on the out-skirts of East London, Lavender Blue Market is a foodie paradise known for it’s lively, family friendly vibe and exceptional cuisine.
Open for breakfast, lunch or popular ‘Lavender Nights’, where we turn down the lights and open our doors for dinner. Popular dishes include gourmet burgers, yummy open sandwhiches, famous poke bowls or authentic wood-fired pizzas! We could keep going, but you’ll have to join us to discover your favourite!
Come for the food, stay for the shopping. Grab a basket and stock up on local produce, freshly baked breads in our deli or a quirky collection of Homeware, Clothing & Footwear in the market. Open Tuesday – Friday 7:30am – 4pm, Saturday & Sunday 7:30am – 2pm (including public holidays).
Abit about us...
Lavender Blue Market owners, Natasha and her husband, talented Chef James, have had an interesting culinary journey that spanned continents, from South Africa to Thailand, not once but twice!
James’ culinary journey began with a solid foundation in the art of cooking. He honed his skills at Anette Te Water’s Alfresco Culinary School, where he not only gained knowledge but also nurtured his innate talent for crafting exceptional dishes, setting the stage for a remarkable career.
In the early years of their culinary adventure, James, alongside his business partner and wife Natasha, ventured into the restaurant business with the opening of three beloved establishments: The Sanook Restaurants, Berea and Beacon Bay as well as Cantina and Craft. These eateries quickly became known for their commitment to serving good quality food and exceptional service.
After a 2 year adventure in Thailand, the Hogg Family decided to return to East London and acquired Lavender Blue Market. Natasha and James have an ongoing love affair with Thailand, they simply love the place, its people, and its great cuisine. You’ll find some of their favourite Thai dishes on the menu at Lavender Blue Market today.
